Bodegas Insulares Tenerife S.A. was created in 1992 by proposal of the town council of Tacoronte, who also provided the plot, and was later built by the inter-island council. The winery has a characteristically social nature as it’s open to all grape growers’ of the region who wish to participate in the society; its members went from 170 in 1992, the year the society was set up, to 659 members at present from all municipalities that make up the Denomination of Origin “Tacoronte-Acentejo”. The prestige enjoyed by the wines produced in these facilities belongs to this important group. 
Its facilities are modern and practical, with a room fitted for wine tasting and sales.
