Located in the North of the island of Tenerife, The Wine House of “La Baranda” is an historical Canarian Farm House from the 17th century, called Hacienda de San Simón or de La Baranda. Its owner, the Island Council of Tenerife has fitted it for the promotion of quality island wines, as well as other agricultural products, livestock and fishing. It also promotes its rural culture and traditions. It is housed within the Island’s Museum of the Vines and Wines of Tenerife, the Honey Museum of Tenerife and the permanent exhibition “Tenerife Isla de Agrodiversidad”. You can sample five island’s Denominations of Origin in its wine tasting room, and purchase them in the wine shop and store. The House offers a wide cultural activities program: wine tasting courses, wine tasting, concerts, conferences, exhibitions, gastronomic workshops, etc. In addition to the Museum of the Vines and Wines, it has a projection room, an art exhibition room, a shop, a wine shop, a wine tasting room, a chapel, a press room, as well as an attractive Restaurant and Tavern where you can try new and creative Canarian cuisine, resurrected from the traditional recipes of the islands, accompanied by the wines of Tenerife. |
